Alain Buu

Like many reportage photographers, Frenchman Alain Buu is an adventurer with wanderlust in his heart. This initially led him to Afghanistan in 2001 following the 9/11 attacks and, inspired by the country, he swore to return in order to report on the lesser-known aspects of the war-torn land. Following in the hoofprints of Joseph Kessel and his horsemen Buu visited and reported on the Afghan tribes whose life-partner is the horse, not the gun.
