Four high-goal teams with handicaps between 15 and 18 goals battle for the coveted Trophy on the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz. Come to the St. Moritz Polo World Cup on Snow and experience a world of sport that combines strength, elegance, speed, pride and the traditional British love of fair play. Experience polo at its best!
Each team plays every other team, on the round robin principle. The tournament’s climax is the third-place play-off and the final on Sunday. The matches are played at the highest leveland demand concentration, strength, skill, courage and stamina from both the world’s elite players and the horses. The unusual conditions on snow, the unaccustomed location at 1,800 metres above sea level and the cosmopolitan character of St. Moritz make the tournament truly unique – as attested by approximately 15,000 spectators from every corner of the world who make the pilgrimage to Lake St. Moritz at the end of January each year.
